"Roots of the Rocks Music Festival" will take place June 13-16 just outside of Moab, Utah at the festival venue "Area BFE", the majestically beautiful red rock cliff desert venue that launched the Desert Rocks and Powellapalooza Music Festivals. The event is a celebration of the root origins of Desert Rocks and Powellapalooza, and the rise of the Solar Saucer Cosmonauts!
The Gathering is geared towards providing an amazing desert festival experience to the event patron, providing regional bands, dj's, artists, vendors, and performers the exposure they need to further their careers, and pushing the “Say No to Tar Sands in Eastern Utah” campaign!
The festival features Rock N Roll, Funk, Bluegrass, Hip Hop, Reggae, Folk, and EDM music on state of the art staging, lighting, and sound production. Over 100 bands, djs, mcs, performers, and artists, and a wide variety of food, arts, crafts, and clothing vendors.
Roots of the Rocks Musical Gathering is the very definition of a grassroots event. At the gathering you will find some of the top up and coming talent from the Western United Stated, with a focus on the four corners region.
